VKD Errors
The hard drive light goes out and it just hangs. I wiped the drive again and tried to install Win98SE. Install went just fine and at the first re-boot after system just hours before building this new one, and there is no problem, formatting, accessing or copying files to the drive prior to the OS installation.

Windows ME installation problem
When I try to copy files from our network (or even view files) - half the time (literally) windows explorer hangs up. product it is (very unstable - eg, it constantly crashes just copying files on a system that was actually designed for Vista with a clean install Why do you think it is constantly crashing ?

RC1 textmode setup hangs
I've tried to install Win ME with the cd, as a clean install, and manually transferring the files to my hard disk, Still no luck. everything starts and runs perfectly up to "copying files to your computer" section. Often when copying files, or jsut at random, the wholr thing hangs for a bout 15 secs, and then away it goes again. This has never happened before. So I though clean install back to 8.6 and star over. Tried alway but it will not install. gets to a point then stops. Force quitting tells me an application called DFA

Sometimes CD-ROM drives can be really finnicky when they read from a CD. If the slightest bit of dirt is on a CD, or it is a "bad burn" you will hang up when trying to copy files.

Win XP hangs on installation

Can not install ANY new software
Clean install can always be done on BE6, but many would like to upgrade so they can keep the old programs and settings. Proceed to install XP (without rebooting) 5.
